About Us

Da Silva hospitality group specializes in creating experiences that leave a lasting impression.


Our story begins in Venezuela in 1950 when its founder Jose Da Silva emigrated from Portugal in search of new opportunities. In 1951 he acquired his first business, a bar in downtown Caracas.

Years later, he owned and managed the city's most important nightclubs and restaurants.


Due to the sustained success of the group, the partners decided in 1997 to venture into the hotel industry, starting with an executive hotel, "Shelter Suites".


Their desire to grow led them to open new horizons in the world of gastronomy. In 2014, Da Silva Hospitality Group began its international expansion with the Restaurant "The Fifth Season" on the island of Madeira.


This was followed by the opening 2017 of Zucca Miami, located in Coral Gables, Florida. During these years, Zucca has become a staple of the top Italian-style restaurants in the city.


At Da Silva Hospitality Group, we strive to create an atmosphere where every guest can experience the very best of our unique gastronomic concepts. From fresh and delicious dishes crafted with the finest ingredients to our renowned service staff, we aim to ensure that all our customers have an unforgettable experience.


In addition to the experiences that our guests have, our presence in each community creates economic benefits. More than 1000 direct jobs are generated in our 12 establishments, and we serve more than 800,000 meals annually.


Da Silva Hospitality group has a new project coming soon, 2023, ZUCCALY. A multi-concept gourmet experience inspired by Italy's most popular cuisines. It will offer a range of culinary experiences in a lively setting, allowing customers to order food from various vendors and still dine in a communal space of almost 7.800 sqft.

Erasmo Da Silva

In 1984 Erasmo Da Silva, only 14 years old, joined the restaurants and bars to learn every detail of this business. Since then, Erasmo has shared his studies with his work.

After finishing his college career, Erasmo devoted himself full-time to maintaining and growing his father's legacy.


The new generation in charge of the corporation decided to begin a more innovative and replicable concept in 2011. Da Silva Hospitality Group negotiated with the American company Beautiful Brands International the master franchise rights of the trademark "FreshBerry Frozen Yogurt Café." In less than nine months, they open 12 stores. In 2013 FreshBerry in Venezuela got the "Best New Franchise of the Year" award. FreshBerry was sold in 2022.


After years of expertise and knowledge in the hospitality business, the group decided to venture to the United States.


Erasmo arrived in Miami looking to expand the family business in South Florida. However, it took 36 months of careful market research, gastronomic study, and competitive analysis for Zucca first to open its doors. Today, Da Silva Hospitality Group has restaurants in Venezuela, Portugal, and the United States, positioning Zucca as one of the best Italian restaurants in Miami.


Zucca has earned its place among the pillars of the bustling Miami scene, receiving numerous accolades for its authentic Italian cuisine, award-winning wine cellar, and gracious hospitality. I am currently focused on growing the group in South Florida
